The Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences is a unit offering education in two fields. Nursing and emergency medical services are professions that play key roles in the health care system. The practical nature of the studies conducted at the Faculty is reflected in a large number of classes devoted to developing practical skills, both in simulated conditions and in health care facilities.

A guarantee of good preparation for the profession is the modern infrastructure centered around the Monoprofile Medical Simulation Center. Equipping individual rooms with teaching resources to reproduce hospital rooms is the basis for conducting classes using medical simulation. Attention to the high quality of individual subjects is also reflected in the equipment of other laboratories dedicated to the fields of study, e.g. the microbiology and biochemistry laboratory, or the anatomical table for human anatomy classes.

The education is conducted by teaching staff who combine extensive theoretical knowledge focused on specialist care, advanced nursing practice and clinical sciences with practical preparation. Teachers make research and teaching efforts, which translates into conducting classes in a modern way and adapted to the current requirements on the labor market.

A graduate of the fields of study at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences is a competent professional prepared to perform a profession in the field of medicine responsibly and independently, with skills enabling employment both in Poland and in other European Union countries.

Our students actively participate in national and international scientific conferences, presenting the results of their individual and team research. The Faculty has the Student Scientific Club of the Polish Nursing Association and the GOMPHOSIS Scientific Club.

Scientific activity in the work of scientific clubs whose nature of activity is consistent with the field of study is manifested, among others, by: in implementing their own research projects, developed during meetings of members of individual Circles or during research trips.

Their results are presented during scientific conferences and then finalized in post-conference publications. University student organizations pursue their goals resulting from their statutory activities by undertaking many activities and tasks for the academic and local communities.
