The Library of the State Vocational University named after Prof. Stanisław Tarnowski in Tarnobrzeg serves as the foundation of the library-information system. Its purpose is to support the teaching and scientific processes at the University.

Established in 2001, concurrently with the formation of the University, the library initially occupied a single room that served as a reading room and lending library. After the expansion of the educational building on Wyszynskiego Street, the library was relocated to new premises and currently occupies a total area of 372.1 m².

The library offers access to its collection in a modern reading room and lending library. A significant portion of the collection is housed in spacious and modern storage facilities. Readers have access to 42 seats in the reading room and 9 computer stations with access to the library catalog and the Internet.

The thematic scope of the library's collection aligns with the fields of study and the needs of students and staff at the University. The collection includes national and international books and journals, as well as audiovisual and multimedia materials tailored to the specialties offered by the University. The organization and accessibility of the collection are managed through the computerized library system MOL Optivum. The library provides access to key scientific publications worldwide through the Virtual Science Library and IBUK Libra – the largest online library of academic textbooks and scientific books in Poland.

The informational activities of the library include training for all first-year students in full-time studies, immediate assistance with using the catalog, bibliographic information about its own collections and those of other libraries, and the preparation of bibliographic lists.

The library is friendly and open to people with disabilities. Computer stations for persons with disabilities have been designated in the reading room, and the building is equipped with a variety of architectural amenities.

The library's resources are available to students, postgraduate students, academic teachers, and other employees of the University. Individuals from outside the university can only use the reading room. Upon request from students and staff, the library arranges interlibrary loans for materials not available in libraries within the city.
