The profession of a nurse is a mission of helping sick people, which requires constant updating of knowledge consistent with scientific achievements and the development of new practical skills consistent with the art of nursing care. Second-cycle studies in Nursing develop professional and personal competences, provide specialist knowledge, develop self-education, broaden the professional perspective and create new professional and financial opportunities. Studies in this field allow you to acquire knowledge and skills in the field of advanced and specialized nursing practice and other health sciences. They also prepare to take up activities in the field of scientific research in nursing. Examples of skills acquired during studies include:
solving professional problems, especially related to making decisions in difficult situations;
defining standards of professional care for all ages and health conditions of the patient;
conducting scientific research in the field of medicine and nursing;

The main goal of education in the field of Nursing, second-cycle studies is to prepare the student to independently perform the professional role of a nurse and is based on fulfilling high requirements related to the implementation of educational standards in the profession, drawing on rich professional traditions, but at the same time looking at the horizon of challenges, which the current reality poses to the nursing profession.

A graduate of nursing will obtain a professional title of master's degree in nursing.
The diploma obtained by the graduate entitles him to work in public and non-public health care facilities in all European Union countries, health care institutions, care and nursing facilities, sheltered work, social care, primary health care and in community and family nursing teams, sanatoriums , palliative and hospice care centers.
A graduate of this field can also run his or her own business in the field of medical and care services, prevention counseling and medical education.
A graduate of second-cycle studies in nursing is prepared to undertake third-cycle (doctoral) studies.
